There is no official list for Phetchaburi's 9-temple merit route, and the published versions differ. Phetcha uses the seven temples that the Wongnai (2019) and TrueID (2021) versions share — Wat Mahathat Worawihan, Wat Yai Suwannaram, Wat Kamphaeng Laeng, Wat Phra Phuttha Saiyat, Wat Khoi, Wat Khao Ban Dai It and Wat Khao Yoi — and adds Wat Ko, with its Ayutthaya-period murals, and Wat Phra Kaeo Noi on Phra Nakhon Khiri.
The order here is the shortest by road starting from Wat Khao Yoi, north of town; the other eight are in Mueang Phetchaburi district, a few kilometres apart. Wat Phra Kaeo Noi sits on top of Khao Wang, reached on foot or by the funicular of Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park.
