Wat Yai Suwannaram, formerly called Wat Noi Pak Tai, is a third-class royal temple of the Worawihan type. It underwent a major restoration in the reign of King Rama IV.
The ordination hall is in Ayutthaya style, with murals of deities in five rows; notably, the giants and other non-human figures are painted with natural faces rather than as if wearing khon masks. The principal Buddha is a stucco image in the Maravijaya posture, and the pediment is late-Ayutthaya moulded work.
The sermon hall is a late-Ayutthaya wooden building with panelled walls. It was originally a residence of Chao Fa Phra Khwan, later dismantled by King Suea and offered to the Supreme Patriarch Taengmo. The scripture library is a panelled wooden building raised on three wooden posts.
