Khao Wang carries Phra Nakhon Khiri, the hilltop palace of King Rama IV. Its eastern summit holds Wat Phra Kaeo Noi, the palace temple, and its eastern slope Wat Maha Samanaram, a royal temple with murals by Khrua In Khong.
Around the foot of the hill, Wat Phra Phuttha Saiyat, Wat Sa Bua, Wat Rattanatrai and Wat Khoi are a few hundred metres apart. Walk up or take the funicular, and see the hill in 3D on Phetcha's 3D map.
