Wat Samut Khodom is a community temple of the Mahanikai order. It was founded in 1872 and received its royal grant of consecrated land (wisungkhamsima) on 25 August 1998.

Its most important ancient remains are two small redented chedis (with twelve indented corners) and two groups of sandstone sema boundary markers. The first group is plain, decorated with curved lines and badly eroded, with only one piece still intact.

The second group is six small carved red sandstone sema. Each has a central ridge with curved lines along both edges, forming a shape like a pair of lungs, and a prachamyam motif carved at the top and on the belly of the stone.
