Wat Chai Na
วัดชายนา
Wat Chai Na was begun around 1961–1962, when villagers of Ban Nai Dong invited monks to spend the rains retreat at an abandoned temple. Luang Pho Tat Pavaro and the villagers cleared the site, land looked after by former kamnan (subdistrict headman) Kham Thongtha, who gave it for building the temple.
Permission to build the temple was granted in 1965 and the temple was formally established in 1969; it received its royal grant of consecrated land (wisungkhamsima) on 16 July 1970. The principal Buddha image was cast in 1972 and the boundary-binding (phatthasima) ceremony took place in 1982.
Phra Phutthawiriyakon (Luang Pho Tat Pavaro), abbot from 1962 to 2009, was a well-known master monk, famous for making sacred objects such as lead takrut amulets.
