Wat Kaen Lek

วัดแก่นเหล็ก

Wat Kaen Lek is a Mahanikai community temple, officially founded in 1941. Its present ordination hall, a reinforced-concrete building of 2001, was built on the site of an older hall about 300 years old. The sermon hall and chanting hall are Thai-style wooden buildings.

Revered objects include the principal Buddha in the Maravijaya posture, an old bronze standing Buddha over 4 sok (cubits) tall, and three gilt black-lacquer cabinets. Eighteen chedis and four prangs stand around the ordination hall.
