Wat Kaeng Krachan

วัดแก่งกระจาน

Wat Kaeng Krachan began as a monks’ residence, with monks invited from Wat Tha Khoi to spend the rains retreat here. It was established as “Wat Kaeng Krachan” on 13 June 1986 and received its royal grant of consecrated land (wisungkhamsima) on 12 September 1986.

The temple runs Pariyatti Dhamma schools: a Dhamma section opened in 1986 and a general-education section in 1993. Its buildings include a reinforced-concrete ordination hall built in 1983, a wooden sermon hall built in 2000 and a wooden chanting hall built in 1977.
