Tho Thip Waterfall

น้ำตกทอทิพย์ · Also: Thor Thip Waterfall

Part of Kaeng Krachan National Park

A nine-tier waterfall in shady forest about 15 km beyond Khao Phanoen Thung, reached by a 4 km walk; a good add-on for hikers camping on Phanoen Thung.

Tho Thip Waterfall lies in Kaeng Krachan National Park about 15 km beyond Khao Phanoen Thung. It drops in nine tiers, each different, with the fifth usually called the most beautiful, all set in shady forest.

You drive the Phanoen Thung road and then walk about 4 km from around km 36. As with other spots deep in the forest, ask park staff for advice and a guide before going.

The waterfall is on the Ban Krang–Phanoen Thung route, which closes every year from 1 August to 31 October.

When to go

Reached via the Ban Krang–Khao Phanoen Thung road, which closes every year from 1 August to 31 October and is open from 1 November to 31 July.

Getting there

About 15 km beyond Khao Phanoen Thung: drive the Phanoen Thung road, then walk about 4 km from around km 36. A powerful vehicle is needed as the road crosses the hills, and you should ask the park for advice and a guide before setting out.
