The stretch of the Phetchaburi River below Kaeng Krachan Dam, popular for rubber-raft trips of about 8 km with a swim stop in the cool water, lined with riverside lodges that have swimming areas.

Below Kaeng Krachan Dam, the Phetchaburi River becomes a playground for water activities in Kaeng Krachan district, from jumping in to rafting more than 10 km downstream. Many riverside lodges have swimming areas, play equipment and slides.

The usual rubber-raft trip starts from a put-in below the dam and covers about 8 km in roughly an hour and a half, with 2 to 10 people per boat. Around the 4 km mark there is a stop to float in the current, and life jackets must be worn at all times on the water.

Rafting is run by private operators and riverside lodges, which shuttle guests between the put-in and the take-out.
