Pha Nam Yot Waterfall

น้ำตกผาน้ำหยด · Also: Pha Nam Yod Waterfall

Part of Kaeng Krachan National Park

A limestone waterfall in Kaeng Krachan National Park on the Tha Yang side, stepping down in three umbrella-like tiers about 35 m high into an emerald pool; reached on a 2 km forest walk and flowing only in the rains.

Pha Nam Yot is at Moo 14, Tambon Khao Krapuk, Tha Yang district, inside Kaeng Krachan National Park. It is a cliff beside the Phetchaburi River where limestone has built up into three stacked, umbrella-like tiers about 35 m high and 15 m wide, above an emerald-green pool.

Reaching it means walking about 2 km each way, roughly 2 hours there and back, on a fairly rough path, so it is best done in a group. Small children, older people and anyone with a health condition should not go. Water flows only in the rainy season.

The park allows day trips only: no camping, no cooking, and only drinking water may be carried in. It most recently reopened on 10 November 2025, after a closure for ecosystem recovery in 2024.

When to go

The falls only flow in the rainy season, and the park opens the site in spells: it was closed for ecosystem recovery in October 2024 and reopened for day trips from 10 November 2025. Check with the park on 032 772 312.

Getting there

A walk of about 2 km each way (around 2 hours there and back) on a fairly rough path; the falls are about 80 km from Phetchaburi town.
